Custom headers are available with pins missing at specified positions or with pins of different lengths. All Zierick headers utilize unique capillary action to create 50 percent stronger solder joints, ensure co-planarity and allow for greater locational accuracy on the solder pad.
The capillary action of the solder paste during reflow draws the header down tightly to the PCB, pulling it into proper position even if the connector has been misplaced. This action provides for the industry's only way of correcting assembly mistakes during reflow. Also, the header assembly is designed to move with the PCB it is placed upon, reducing mismatch created by the different coefficients of expansion of dissimilar materials.
