 Zierick Manufacturing Corporation, a leading provider of PCB connectors and assembly equipment, offers the SMT Bottom Entry Through Board Socket. Designed to handle high current ratings—up to seven amps depending on the application—the SMT Socket provides a small footprint, low profile solution to customers' surface mount application needs.
The SMT Socket has the flexibility to accommodate either a power or signal connection, and with its capacity to handle a large number of mating cycles, is ideal for high density applications and demanding environments.
The SMT Socket is available in tape and reel in a standard tape pocket format, which allows the use of a standard pick and place tape feeder. It is also available in bulk. Mating pin sizes include 0.025" square and 0.027" to 0.032" diameter round pins. Receptacles for other pin sizes are available as a special order. The material is 0.0005" thick Beryllium Copper with a bright Tin finish over Copper.
