Offers the choice of top or bottom entry
 Zierick Manufacturing Corporation, a leading provider of PCB connectors and assembly equipment, expands their box receptacle family with the 1262 SMT Box Receptacle. The versatile design accepts traditional top entry or an alternative bottom entry placement to mate with a through-board pin or tab. The receptacle also offers a small footprint, high current rating, high locational tolerance, low insertion force and a reliable connection by way of a high-pressure contact area.
The 1262 SMT Box Receptacle mates with either a 0.025" square pin, or a round pin from 0.032" up to 0.090" diameter. It is also ideal for a 0.032" thick by 0.110" wide tab, and can accommodate a minimum of twelve mating cycles without degradation. A special version of the receptacle can be used in a wire gripper application to hold a 14 AWG wire.
The 1262 SMT Box Receptacle is designed for automation with existing pick and place equipment using the Surf-Shooter SMT feeder system. As a result, no costly fixturing is required and time-consuming hand placement is eliminated. The receptacle is also available in surface mount tape pockets for use with standard tape and reel feeders.
